What is Rhodium Plating?

Rhodium is a rare, silvery-white, hard metal which is a member of the platinum group and is often used to plate jewellery because of it's highly reflective finish, hardness, corrosion resistance and hypoallergenic properties.

Rhodium plating prevents tarnishing, helps make stones stand out more as the plating is so bright and increases the long term durability of the jewellery piece (depending on the amount of wear and tear). Nothings sets off a Sterling Silver jewellery piece like rhodium plating.
